Dave and I hosted a Christmas Party in our home last night for 6 couples. We as a group go out to eat once a month at a different location and we always have a blast. We are also all going on a cruise together to the Bahama's in late spring..can't wait!

So I decided to make our party a little special by creating some invites. This is what the invite looks like when you pull it out of the envelope I gave each couple:

My snowman looks a little scrunched up doesn't he? But wait...see all of those layers of circles in the photo above? They move! Can you see what they are starting to look like now in the photo below as you move them?

Before I show you more of the card, let's check out a close-up of Mr. Snowman's face:

The carrot is cut from the wing of the Bird Punch and I hand-drew the carrot lines with my Stampin' Write Marker. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to glue it in place so it pops. The mouth is also hand-drawn! For the hat I used the Decorative Label Punch for the top and the other two pieces were hand-cut with strips of cardstock and glimmer paper.
Now let's take a closer look at the WHOLE card. This is actually called a "Telescoping Card":

The three layers of circles are all hooked together with Silver Mini Brads so that the circles move around freely. When you are done reading the card, you push the circles back to the center, all tucked in. How clever and cute is that? I gave each couple a party gift to take home also and I'll show that post later!

Thanks for stopping by to visit me today!
