Want to learn a new technique for using your textured impressions embossing folder? Today I have 2 cards using the same embossing folder. Both cards require VersaMark Ink and a Brayer.

For the first sample, I inked my Brayer with VersaMark Ink and I inked the Flower Garden Embossing Folder on the inside of the folder. Ink up the flat side (no bump side) just over the flower image, not all the way across. Add a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and run through your Big Shot. Using Melon Mambo Embossing Powder, sprinkle over the embossed panel. Remove excess. Set with your Heat Tool:

By brayering just over the flower image, you will create uneven edges on each side of the flower. It looks like a piece of art doesn't it?

Card #2:

Same steps as card #1 except apply the VersaMark Ink on the bumpy side of the embossing folder. Press lightly so that the ink does not get on any of the flat edges, only on the bumps. Sprinkle Melon Mambo Embossing Powder and heat set with your Heat Tool:

In this sample, only the outline of the flower image ends up being embossed:

Supplies for both cards:
  • Cardstock: Old Olive, Garden Green, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant
