This photo is NOT Lima! It was dark when we arrived in Peru last night, we didn’t get to our hotel until well after midnight..and it is a short night’s sleep because we’ve got another flight after breakfast this morning to get us to Iquitos!
I also sat in the center section of the plane..not a window near me….just the bathroom on either side of our row….the only thing I saw next to me in the aisles were bodies from the waist down. LOL But that’s how it goes with glamor travel, you know?
What you see here is MIAMI! I loved how the sky was reflected in these man made ponds. So fun to see the beauty of the world, even in manufactured industrial areas!

And yes, I kept myself ever busy with this!
Everything went swimmingly when it came to meeting up with our group. No one had missed flights or lost luggage and I was so excited to meet everyone!

Inca Kola? There are signs for this stuff everywhere! I’m not sure I want to taste it, they say it tastes like bubble gum. Uhhhh…..NNOOOOO!

As I said, it was late late late when we got in, and there was nowhere to go, nothing to see but the back of our eyelids.
A 6am wake up call greeted me this morning with a bright and cheery “Buenos Dias!” and we are up and running.

Today’s itinerary!
We have several flights within Peru during this trip, and today we leave for the Amazon. Our large suitcases are being left here in Lima, we will travel with much smaller carry on size bags or duffels with minimal stuff as we go deeper in to Peru!
I can’t wait to see what we will see! This is going to be such an amazing trip!
I don’t know what the wifi status will be as we travel, but I’ll be updating as often as I can!
