Have you figured out yet that my favorite stamp set from the Holiday Catalog has been Ornamental Pine? I have yet another project or actually two today using this stamp set yet again! We have store that has a little bit of everything here where I live. I think I paid 96 cents for a wooden embroidery hoop. And this is what I used it for:
Very simple to make. First I took a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock and traced the outside of the hoop with a pencil. I then hand-cut the circle. Because it is glued to the back of the hoop. I does not need to be perfect. Once I cut it out, I set it aside for the next step.
The ribbon. I added Sticky Strip on the very top of both hoops...the flat part. Don't worry if some of the Sticky Strip is a little bumpy. I removed the red backing from the Sticky Strip and started adding my ribbon. I gathered it by pinching it together and pressing in place to the Sticky Strip. About every 1/2" or so I pinched and pressed.
I then completed my stamping on the crumb cake layer. I embossed the pine branch and sentiment with White Embossing Powder and VersaMark Ink and used my Blendabilities Markers to color the white embossing with browns & greens.
For the ornaments and the pine cones, I stamped on a separate piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock and hand-cut all of them. I glued them all in place, added Silver Mini Brads to the ornaments and Rhinestone Jewels to the background:
I also made a coordinating 3" x 3" mini card in the same colors and stamped images:
