We have a new color challenge today at Create with Connie & Mary:

This one was a stump-er for me at first. I thought the color combination was a little blah but once I got going, it all came together:

I've had this "Pocket Card" on my try-it list for quite some time now. I love the fact that you create a pocket with cardstock and then add a flat card that slides inside. The recipient pulls on the tab at the top to slide the card out:

The "pocket" part of the card is created with a 12" x 4 1/4" piece of cardstock. Score and fold at 3 1/2" and again at 8 3/4". Using the 2 score lines, draw & cut a diagonal line from the top of the score line to the opposite corner of the each side. Add adhesive to the bottom of your center section. Fold on both score lines and glue the 2 pieces that meet in the center:

I added Paisley Petals DSP to the front of the pocket. The ribbon is Organza Ribbon that I colored by using a Sponge Dauber and Cajun Craze Ink. I stamped just a little portion of the stamp from the My Friend stamp set and cut out with the Large Oval Punch and layered over Basic Gray cut out with the Decorative Label Punch.

I used the same stamp set to stamp the images on the card portion of this project on Very Vanilla Cardstock and layered over Cajun Craze Cardstock. The little pull-tab is created with the Curly Label Punch and fold in half:

This project was as much fun to create as I thought it would be. Give it a try and let me know how you make out. Thanks for visiting me today, make sure you hop over to Create with Connie & Mary and view all the other design team members challenge projects. I promise you won't be disappointed!
