Dressing for Success is easy as 1-2-3 this week at Pals Paper Arts. Follow the simple recipe to success:

  • Use 1 piece of designer series paper, 1 punch and 1 sentiment.

THE DSP:

I am normally not a big Designer Paper user. I like to create my own layers and textures. I always feel like I'm cheating when using DSP. The rosette is made using the same DSP. Cut a piece of DSP 12" x 1" and score every 1/2". Fold by alternating your folds from a mountain fold to a valley fold. Glue your ends together, lay flat and add a 1" circle cut out of Sticky Paper with your circle punch. Make sure the Sticky Paper goes on the back side of your rosette.

THE SENTIMENT:

I stamped the sentiment from the "You're A Gem" stamp set in Cherry Cobbler Ink.

THE PUNCH:

I cut out my sentiment with my Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. I used the lever on setting #1:

Notice the new ribbon? 3/8" Quilted Satin Ribbon. It's soft......it's textured........and it will be available to you in the new Holiday Mini Catalog on September 1st. Yes, I was able to order 30 days before you get to order.

Need a little bling but feel that the patterned DSP is too busy for bling? I added a trio of Rhinestone Brads and that's all I needed. I also added one to the sentiment panel. Sometimes all you need is 1 or 2 to complete a card.

This was a fun challenge.........come play with us!
